Mueller Accounting Consolidates in Elgin
Accounting firm Mueller & Co. will move to an office building in Elgin as part of a consolidation. The firm leased about 22,000 square feet in a four-story building at 1707 N. Randall Road in Elgin, and will leave its current headquarters at 2230 Point Blvd. in Elgin and an office at 2560 Foxfield Road in St. Charles. The 11-year lease begins Nov. 1, according to Mueller Principal Roy Groesbeck, who says the new offices give the firm a visible location adjacent to Interstate 90 and room to expand. He declines to disclose the firm's rent.
The deal gives the firm an additional 3,000 square feet vs. what it has now it Elgin and St. Charles, according to Michael Webber, executive vice president at Chicago-based Advocate Commercial Real Estate Advisors LLC who represented Mueller. John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc., the Elgin-based nut processor, owns the 400,000 square foot building, which is about 25 percent leased, says Frank Pellegrino, vice president of finance and corporate controller at the firm. Jason Simon and Steven Kling of Colliers International's Rosemont office represented Sanfilippo in the lease.
